'Shirobana' Spiraea (Spirea)
Spiraea japonica 'Shirobana'
Flower Color: White and pink flowers clusters
on the same plant in late spring and summer. Very showy and
interesting variety.
Size: 3' in height and 3-4' in width. Moderately fast growing.
Foliage Color: Dark green very clean foliage. Very nice in early spring when it leafs out.
Hardiness Zones: 4-8. Hardy in most of the US.
Light Requirement: Full sun to part-shade is best. Will not bloom as well, if placed in shady area.
Drought Tolerance: Moderate to High. Will rarely require water with normal rainfall.
Notes: Very interesting variety with pink and white flowers on the same plant. Very nice dark green foliage. Great choice for mass plantings. Very widely available. Most Spirea are deer resistant.
