'Pink Knock Out' Rose
Rosa 'Radcon'
Flower Color:
Medium to bright pink flowers that reoccur multiple time a season.
Some pruning after initial spring flowering increases the number of
summer flowers. Very heavy flowering.
Size: 3-4' in height and 3-4' in width. Can grow even bigger, if not occasionally pruned. 'Knock Out' Roses grow very quickly.
Foliage Color: Dark green with reddish-purple new growth. Very nice and clean. Vigorous growth can be expected. Foliage is nicer on the pink varieties in the spring. Very little problem with leaf spot.
Hardiness Zones: 5-9. Performs well in most areas of the US.
Light Requirement: Full Sun to Part-Shade. More sun produces more flowers and a denser growth habit.
Drought Tolerance: Moderate, prefers moist well-drained soil. Some additional watering in the summer is beneficial for vigorous growth and flower production.
Notes: Patented variety, propagation is prohibited. Hybridized by William Radler and introduced by Conard-Pyle Co. and Star Roses. Very disease resistant. Many new hybrids don't live up to the hype, but this one exceeds it. Great variety for mass plantings. Re-blooms every 4-6 weeks. Very widely available. A deer magnet, like all roses. If you can not grow 'Knockout' roses, give up.
