'Pink Delight' Butterfly Bush

Buddleia davidii 'Pink Delight'

'Pink Delight' Butterfly BushFlowers:  Bright pink clusters of flowers all summer long.  The flowers are lightly fragrant and attract hummingbirds and butterflies.  Some deadheading of 'Pink Delight' in the summer will increase flower production.

Size:  8' in height and width.  Some mid-summer pruning will give 'Pink Delight' a more dense growth habit.  Plants should be cut down in early spring, because flowers occur on new growth.

Foliage:  Green foliage with silver backs.

Hardiness Zones:  5-9

Light Requirement:  Full sun to part-shade.  Much tighter growth habit in full sun.

Drought Tolerance:  Moderate.  Some additional water in the summer will help increase flowering.

Notes:  'Pink Delight' is a vigorous grower every season with flower size and number of flowers exceeding most other varieties.  Very nice foliage and tight growth habit.  Very low maintenance plant to attract butterflies to the garden.
